Pensions Surgery

CPDValidPath's next Member Event is being held on Wednesday 4th February at the Offices of Vestra Wealth, London.  It commences at 10.00am and runs for two hours.

This half-day event is free to ValidPath Members.  It is specifically intended to assist you in developing your professional connections with Accountants, and so the idea is that Advisers wishing to attend will bring with them as a guest, their own preferred accountancy professional.  This is all about building awareness of the strategic issues, to encourage the active referral of clients for pensions advice.

Spaces are limited to 18, so we will have to close the doors to applicants as soon as that number is reached, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Issues to be covered by the speaker are:
  • The technical input from the Autumn Statement and the shaping of the Pensions Tax Bill 2015.
  • The introduction of new pension regime products such as “FADS” and “FLUPS” and their impact on retirement planning.
  • The interaction between the old and new regimes.
  • The interplay between the old and new regimes, in order to maximise contributions, death benefits and de-accumulation flexibility.
  • The impact on QROPS and QNUPS.
The speaker at our event is the legendary David Lane.  Anyone interested in pensions will know that this man is worth listening to, so we are very fortunate to have him.  Here is a quick resume of his credentials:

David Lane – BA Hons, MA, FPFS, TEP, Chartered Financial Planner
David is Business Development Technical Director and joined Vestra Wealth from AXA where he was a Senior Technical Consultant based in Central London.
